Twinkie Has Teeth Cleaned - Finally

Friday started out normal with a walk to the park.  But that was just a decoy to get Twinkie into the car to go to the vet.

It had been 5 years since his last teeth cleaning.  Bad breath caused by heavy plaque build up was too much to take.  These are the before pictues of his teeth the morning of his appointment.

The vet took these pictures during his surgery.

We knew he would have to have at least two tooth extractions.  Turns out that he had 5 teeth that needed to come out.  All were incisors so they won't affect his ability to eat normal kibble which is his favorite food.

The vet saved his teeth to give to us.  The black stuff you see is plaque and tartar.  Some of the teeth look really clean.  That's because the vet cleans all teeth at once before determining which need to come out.

And here's the finished product.  A bright new smile with super fresh breath.  Just like when he was a puppy.

Twinkie Meets New Friends at the Lake

The day after his teeth cleaning, Twinkie was back to normal.  He couldn't wait for his Saturday walk so he could show off his new smile.

He met several new dogs including a pair of greyhounds, a french bulldog puppy, and another teacup poodle named Ginger.  She's 5 years old and also weighs just over 5 pounds.

Everyone loved his clean, fresh breath.

Snow Arrives in Colorado

Anthony won the "first to see snow this year" derby.   A huge load arrived today.   But even with 12 inches on the ground the university web site announced that normal schedules would be followed today with no disruption.  Too bad.  Anthony has 4 classes on Wednesday starting at 10 AM with the last one wrapping up at 530 PM.

Here are some snow shots sent from Anthony with some clear weather comparison shots taken on prior days.

Twinkie's Day at the Beach

A celebrity crashed the annual THHS Cheer Team photo day.   A little 5 pound bruiser named Twinkie stole the show.

When he wasn't letting a new girl pet his head, Twinkie found his own photo opportunity where he could.  And then he simply sat and awaited his subjects to come and visit.

Twinkie also looked for new furried friends.  He found one in a little Yorkie named Kala.

Of course he saved time to spend with his favorite gals, too.

Mustang Cheer Photo Day at Laguna Beach

Saturday morning was foggy and cool.  Not a lot of sunlight but enough to still proceed with the annual photo day for all the Mustang cheer teams.  The girls ignored salty spray from the waves, dangerous pelicans perched nearby, razor sharp clam shells attached to rocks, and harrowing cliffs along the sea.   Here's some scenes from the making of this day.

Before the shoot, the girls explored their surroundings.

While awaiting their turn for the individual shots with the professional photographer, the girls took advantage of the down time for candid shots while balancing on treachorous boulders.

Moms cheerfully watched as their children cavorted along the beach.

Finally it was time for team shots.  The entire top row was all freshman cheer members (they are the only ones with white skirts).

Then it was time for the freshmen only shot.

Here's shots of youngest sister, Emily.
