Dad Gets to Sit With the Bulls

Feb 6- Well, sort of.  On the way to Philly, I had to land in Newark.  Conveniently, it's only 4 miles to the Prudential Center where the New Jersey Nets play.   A quick check on Stub Hub showed that the Chicago Bulls were in town.   Not too many people showed up which gave me a chance to sit pretty close. The Bulls were just too tough for the Nets.

The flight into Newark provided these great views of Manhattan.

THHS vs El Toro

Jan 31 - Since there are two boys basketball teams but only one cheer squad, the B team rarely gets to have extra fan support.  But for the El Toro match up, Emily got to cheer at the B team game at Trabuco Hills.  The A team was playing at El Toro's gym at the same time.  

The B team boys are a little smaller and don't have the same skills, but they gave a very competitive effort.  In the end, the Chargers came out the winners.

Twinkie Crunches on His Kibble

Turn up the volume to hear Twinkie enjoy his dinner followed by a slurp of water.

Skype.  Pretty good little tool to keep in touch.  Free calls and free video.  Even on the small screen, it's always good to see the "twinkies" once in a while.

Jan 27 - With just a few games left on the schedule, Emily is really into the team's success.  Lots of exciting finishes by the boy's freshman Blue team.   Go Mustangs!

Too Quiet Around Here

Soon after the twins returned to college, the house got very quiet.  Emily even slipped off to a cat nap while she tried to study.  

Anthony's Winter Break Ends with Monday Off

Jan 16 - One day after Selena flew back to Chicago, it was Anthony's turn.  This time, Dad got to hitch a ride on the same plane on the way to Philly.   These early flights are the only way to beat the time zone change and still land while there is still daylight.   Denver was getting some freezing weather and the plane needed to be de-iced for Dad's second leg to the east.  But Anthony was able to get on the bus to Boulder ahead of any weather.
